We stayed overnight at the Historic Inn at Strasburg, which sounds nicer than it actually was. The pool, jacuzzi, and sauna looked great, but we just didn't have time to take advantage of them. The rooms were so-so. To me, the bathrooms make or break a place, and these bathrooms needed some serious updating. Anyway...
On Saturday morning, we got up and ate breakfast at Cracker Barrel (a rare treat, since we don't have one near us). After we checked out of the hotel, we went for a ride on the Strasburg Railroad. Isaiah is kind of over his train obsession, but he still likes them, so it was a lot of fun.
When we got back to Nate and Charity's several other friends from college were there, too. Facebook has made it a lot easier to keep up with people's lives, but there's still something irreplacable about seeing people face to face. Two of our friends brought their spouses, so it was great to meet them.
It's been seven years since I graduated college, so no one looked too drastically different, but we all definitely look older. It has me thinking a lot about age, which will be the subject of another post.
Anyway, we all had a great time, and it's definitely something we need to do more often.
